CDL Testing


The Kansas Department of Revenue is offering the following CDL Written Test & CDL Renewal Opportunity
For current and prospective Kansas school bus drivers.


Prospective Kansas school bus driver will be able to take the written test for all or any of the following:
  • General knowledge test for a Class B CDL (50 questions)
  • Written test for P Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Written test for S Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Air Brake test (25 questions)
  • Must score 80% on each test taken to pass

 A limited number of current Kansas school bus drivers will be able to renew their current CDL

Current Driver's License for ID purposes
Current piece of first class mail to establish residence address
DOT medical card for Medical Self-Certification category 1 drivers.

Additional Items Needed If Requesting a Real ID
Social Security Card
Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
Marriage License (not a certificate) if you have a name change due to marriage


Registration Deadline
October 12, 2020


Standard CDL fee of $13 for Commercial Learners Permit
Renewals $26 plus $10 for each endorsement
Collected by cash, check or credit card
