2015-2016

Data Coordinators are responsible for submitting student data directly to KSDE via the KIDS Collection System. They may or may not perform data entry tasks in addition to their KIDS submission responsibilities. Individuals who perform both data entry and data coordinator tasks should pursue certification as a data coordinator. Data Coordinators who were certified in the 2013-2014 year, should register for a Recertification Workshop instead.

Note: Before registering to pursue a Data Quality Certification as a Data Coordinator, you should have approximately one year of experience working with a Student Information System (SIS) or KSDE's Online Data Tool (ODT).

When registering, DQC Participants need to select only one session from each type, but the sessions must be completed in this order: (In-person sessions are offered on back-to-back dates to reduce travel. You must attend both training dates.)

  1. Orientation Conference Call
  2. KSDE Resource Navigation Session
  3. In-Person Sessions
    1. Working with Student Data Session (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, first day)
    2. Data Quality Session (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, second day)

**Please ensure that the correct email address is entered. Additional information specific to each session will be sent via email approximately one week before each session.

KSDE reserves the right to cancel/combine/add training sessions based on demand.
