CDL Testing

 

The Kansas Department of Revenue is conducting CDL Proxy Testing and ELDT Theory Event for prospective CDL drivers. The event is being hosted by and at the following location:

USD 415 Hiawatha 

Registrants will receive ELDT Theory and CDL written test to obtain a CLP (Commercial Learners Permit)

Prospective Kansas school bus driver will be able to take the written test for all or any of the following:

  • General knowledge test for a Class A CDL (50 questions)
  • General knowledge test for a Class B CDL (50 questions)
  • Written test for P Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Written test for S Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Hazordous Material Endorsement (30 questions)
  •  
  • Air Brake test (25 questions)
  • Must score 80% on each test taken to pass

May 29-30, 2024 
Note: ELDT Theory will be administered on May 29th with the exception of Haz Mat which will be done on the 28th if enough interest.

Cost: 
Standard CDL fee of $13 for Commercial Learners Permit
Collected by cash, check or credit card on day of event
ELDT Theory - No Charge
ATM is available at Western State Expo Center

Study the appropriate sections of the Kansas CDL Manual
Digital Copy Kansas Commercial Driver's License Manual (ksrevenue.gov)
